Apple, M.D. Solar Retinopathy from Sungazing in MedjugorjeThere has been much interest and enthusiasm generated among the Louisiana population concerning the reported apparitions of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, to six children in Medjugorje, Yugoslavia. In addition thousands of visitors to Medjugorje have claimed to have observe the "miracle of the sun," in which the sun is covered by a black disc and appears to pulsate and emit bright colors, without any apparent harmful effects to the eye. The following is a report of four patients who have suffered retinal damage associated with sungazing, both in Medjugorje and in New Orleans. It is hoped that by reporting these cases that the physicians of Louisiana will become aware of the risks involved with this practice, and that appropriate warnings will be disseminated to patients, friends, and to the public. 14 iunie 2007 / Section: Medjugorje News & Articles - Category: Medjugorje.ws news / Author: Marek Gayer Guestbook and contact form are functional again

The 18th International Youth Festival - Mladifest 18 – will take place in Medjugorje from August 1st to August 6th, 2007. The theme of the encounter is, “Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another” (Jn 13:34) (“Dear children! Today I call you to love. Little children, love each other with God’s love…The risen Jesus will be with you and you will be His witnesses.” - Message of March 25, 2005) 4 iunie 2007 / Section: Medjugorje News & Articles - Category: Interviews, Testimonies Medjugorje in Hong Kong and MacaoIn May 2007, a group of pilgrims came to Medjugorje from Hong Kong and Macao. The group was accompanied by a priest, and led by Michelle Yau Ivy (Hong Kong) and S. Claire-Marie (Macao). Lidija Paris spoke with them. Can you tell us about the beginnings of the pilgrimages from Hong Kong to Medjugorje?Michelle Yau Ivy: Everything started in December 2001, with my first trip here. I was coming just for fun with a group of friends from Hong Kong. I did not expect anything. I just wanted to come with friends. After this trip, I received a great blessing. When I returned, my husband asked to learn to pray the Rosary and became truly devoted to this. I was very amazed. Soon after, he asked to learn the catechism, and five months later, he was baptized, on the feast of Our Lady of Assumption. He is working now for the monks, in the monastery “Our Lady of Joy” in Hong Kong! For me, this is a fruit of Medjugorje. Then, I was thinking to come back, so I decided to bring a group here. I know that people wanted to come, but they were very afraid. I tried to organize a trip. There was a rumor in Hong Kong that this was a very cold place without electricity and without water, where people eat just bread, so they thought that they should bring along as much food as they can! This is what we have done on the first trip! 2 iunie 2007 / Section: Our Lady of Medjugorje Messages - Category: Mirjana Mesaj din 2 iunie 2007 - Apparitions to Mirjana2 iunie 2007 , Originally published 3 august 1997 / Section: Medjugorje News & Articles - Category: Visionaries, Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo Mirjana Dragicevic: I pray for non-believersAt the recent Youth Festival in Medjugorje Mirjana said: Since 1987 my favourite day is the 2nd of each month. On this day I pray with our Blessed Mother for non-believers, who says, however: "for those who have not known God's love." She is asking for our help, of all of us, of all those who think of Her as Mother. Mary says we cannot save the non-believers if not through our prayer and example. She is asking us to give utmost importance to prayer in their favour, because She has said that the worst things - such as war, divorce, abortion - come from people who do not believe: "When you pray for them, you are praying for yourselves and for your families and for the good of the world." 25 mai 2007 / Section: Our Lady of Medjugorje Messages - Category: Monthly Messages Mesaj din 25 mai 2007Other languages: English, Български, Català, Čeština, Deutsch, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Italiano, Latviešu, Magyar, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Română, Русский, Shqip, Slovenčina, Slovenščina, Svenska, Tiếng Việt, زبان_فارسی

Bernardo Cazzaro, Servant of Mary, Archbishop Emeritus of Puerto Montt (Chile) spent the major part of his life as a missionary in Chile. At the end of its active episcopal service, he returned to Italy in order to help as a spiritual councillor and confessor in the Marian shrine Monte Berico. In May 2007, during a pilgrimage to Medjugorje with a group from Vittorio Veneto, in an interview with Lidija Paris he expressed his impressions on Medjugorje. 21 mai 2007 / Section: Medjugorje News & Articles - Category: Reflections / Author: Sr. Stefania Consoli Be Holy as I am Holy!“Be Holy as I am Holy!” : mere advice, or a command? Is being holy something we can do on our own? We, expert in all that is technical; can we make ourselves become holy? The idea of making oneself holy is illusory. The Lord desired sharing this gift with us. Holiness is such a precious gift, and without it, it is impossible to enjoy the eternal goods of Paradise. God wants his children with him, He wants them to be eternally happy. For this reason He sent His Son who let His heart be pierced so we could receive the Holy Spirit. 21 mai 2007 / Section: Medjugorje News & Articles - Category: Reflections / Author: Sr. Stefania Consoli Our Lady of the Pillar patron of Spain“You haven’t heard of Nuestra Señora Del Pilar!? But she’s the Patron of all Hispanic Peoples! .. So, tomorrow we shall take you there.” It was during my visit to Madrid at the beginning of spring that I thus came to know of this story which is both fascinating and important. It is important because the shrine came to be after an apparition of Mary 40 years after Christ’s death (40 AD), that is, while she was still alive. 20 mai 2007 / Section: Medjugorje News & Articles - Category: Medjugorje.ws news / Author: Marek Gayer Albanian, Catalan, Hungarian, Romanian and Swedish Medjugorje messages
